Perk Circle Privacy Policy
Perk Circle is operated for the participating Business associated with your account. This policy explains the information Perk Circle collects, why it is used, and the choices available to members.
Information we collect
- Name, account email, mobile number, and birthday month/day.
- Account status, email-verification and consent records.
- Business check-ins, point balances, point transactions, reward requests, and local-perk redemptions.
- Basic technical information needed for secure sessions, fraud prevention, scanner pairing, rate limiting, and troubleshooting, such as browser/device information and IP address.
Why we use the information
- Verify that a person requesting access matches the participating Business’s eligibility or customer records.
- Operate check-ins, points, Business Rewards, and local-business perks.
- Send authentication, approval, reward, account, and security messages.
- Prevent duplicate use, abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
- Support members, correct records, report program performance, and improve Perk Circle.
- Use birth month and day for birthday rewards. Perk Circle does not need your birth year for this feature.
How information is shared
Perk Circle does not sell member personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that operate the application, database, image storage, hosting, security, and email delivery. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the participating Business, or during a legitimate business transfer.
Local businesses do not receive a member’s full Perk Circle account record. During redemption, a business employee may see the limited information displayed on the live redemption screen, such as the member’s first name, the offer, and the redemption time.
Retention and security
Perk Circle retains information while it is needed to operate the program, maintain transaction and audit records, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and protect against misuse. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Questions and account information
Users may contact the participating Business with questions about their Perk Circle account or to report information that may be incorrect. Some transaction and audit information may need to be retained for legitimate business, security, accounting, or legal reasons.
Children
Perk Circle is intended for people whose eligibility is verified by the participating Business. A parent or legal guardian should contact the participating Business regarding a minor user’s account or information.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Perk Circle changes. A revised effective date will be posted, and additional notice may be provided when a material change requires it.
